Vilasiny graduated from University of London with a degree in Bachelor of Law before pursuing her post degree qualifications, the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP). Ms. Vilasiny had commenced her pupillage in Messrs. Ravi Ram & Vjay Aziana, under the tutelage of Mr. Ravindhran Ramanujam (a senior member of the Malaysian Bar) and later was called to Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of High Court of Malaya. She then joined Messrs. Lee Gan Teo & Wong as Junior Legal Associate whereby she specialized on Debt Recovery matters. 

 

In 2021, she then co-founded VGCLaw together with her mentor, Mr Gan Yi Yang, Alex and has then been appointed as the Head of Department of Litigation Practice of the firm.

 

Her practice areas are mainly on General Civil Litigation, focused on Defamation, Money Laundering matters, Tax matters, Contract disputes, Bankruptcy and Winding up matters, Divorce, and Industrial Tribunal matters.

 

Besides the legal arena, Ms. Vilasiny also recognizes the importance of forging international relations. In 2017, Ms. Vilasiny had the rare honour of being one of the select few to be a Youth Ambassador by Sports Ministry of Malaysia for the Ship for Southeast Asia and Japanese Youth Program, assigned to strengthen mutual understanding and to promote cultural diversities among the international youth. Further, Ms. Vilasiny had also received Duke of Edinburgh’s Award by Prince Philip for her service to the society.

 

Vilasiny is also the secretary of an NGO, Pertubuhan Amal Cahaya Ikhlas and the co-founder of VGLac, a charitable Legal Aid Centre.
